Arachnidiscs Recordings is pleased to announce that after a period of self-imposed early-retirement from the outsider music scene, Andrew MacGregor, who records as GOWN, has decided to return. And, unlike Phil Collins, no one has started a petition to stop this.

Along with his own sizable discography as GOWN, Andrew MacGregor has played with several high-profile psychsters including Thurston Moore, as part of The Bark Haze, and he's toured and collaborated with with Sunburned Hand of the Man. His solo recordings have received critical praise from internet taste-makers from Pitchfork to Weird Canada.

"First new release by Canada's Andrew McGregor in many a year, and welcome it is. My memories of Gown's many acoustic shows in the Valley are so fresh it's almost startling to hear him roaring again on electric guitar. McGregor has a special affinity for Fushitsusha/Plague Lounge tonal brutalism, and he uses it to great effect here. And the wonderful coarseness of his vocals is still a dark, dank presence, pulling everything through some mud before it all explodes. Nice return!"
