By (bafflingly) popular demand, the 30th anniversary digital reissue of the debut album from Parksville-Qualicum area alternative teen band Common Buddhas.The original cassette release sold hundreds of copies locally, making it a mainstay of central Vancouver Island thrift shops. Members would separately go on to form such outfits such as Another White Male and Moonwood.

Recorded in 1990 at the Woodshed in Coombs, BC. Artwork and audio restored and mastered for this release in 2021 at Aux13, Etobicoke.

“Every few years someone asks me if the Common Buddhas tape is online and I laugh and emphatically say, “No.” About a year ago Nate asked if I’d ever digitized it because he didn’t have a copy and that got me thinking I should convert the master cassette for our personal archives. I finally got around to it this week and he was really enthusiastic about making it public so here it is. A 30th Anniversary “remaster” (actually the first time it’s been “mastered”) of our unreasonably popular indie cassette from 1990. I hope it doesn’t ruin any rose-coloured highschool memories for people who haven’t heard it in three decades. At any rate, I get to present the eye bleed cover art as I originally envisioned it.”
